    Good afternoon. I’m noticing on my product pages that there are two errors. One of the errors says, “Add the focus keyword to your SEO meta description.” However, when I click on “Edit Snippet,” the description appears as the Excerpt PT, where it should generate automatically, but it doesn’t. When I manually enter the Excerpt and save it, the description appears, and the error is resolved. However, when I refresh the page, the error reappears as if the description wasn’t added.

    There are a few possible reasons why you can’t save your SEO description on your site. Here are some steps you can take to fix this issue:

    • Make sure that you have the latest version of Rank Math installed on your site. You can check this by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Version Control. If there is an update available, you will see a notification and a button to update the plugin
    • Check if there are any plugin conflicts that might be interfering with Rank Math. You can do this by following our plugin conflict tutorial. If you find any conflicting plugins, let us know.
    • Check if there are any JavaScript errors that might be preventing Rank Math from saving the SEO Title. You can do this by using the Chrome Developer Tools or any other browser’s developer tools. You can follow our guide on how to check JavaScript errors. If you find any errors, you can share them with us using this tool
    • Check if your firewall or security plugin is blocking access to Rank Math’s files. You can do this by looking at your firewall logs and seeing if there are any blocked requests to these files:
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateSchemas
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateRedirection
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/getFeaturedImageId
      /wp-json/rankmath/v1/getHead

      If you see any blocked requests, you need to whitelist Rank Math and its files in your firewall or security plugin settings.

    Right. Another question: When my products appear on Google in organic search results, the image displayed next to the link is a random product image. How can I configure it to show the main image in Google’s organic search? Can I do this through the plugin? So that only the main image appears? Thank you.

    Unfortunately, there is no way we can control the images shown in search results. Google search algorithms select images that they believe will benefit users.

    We have checked all the steps regarding plugin conflicts, firewall, JavaScript, and plugin updates. Everything is correct, with no issues. However, the descriptions still aren’t saving. Only some product descriptions are saved, while others aren’t. Any edits made cause them to disappear again.

    I solved the problem. It was with the Google Chrome browser. For some reason, Chrome isn’t updating. I believe it’s a cache issue.
