Hi there,
I work at We Scale Startups, we use RankMath having changed over from Yoast and are big fans! We recently started using Ahref’s Webmaster Tools and found it’s listing tons of images that are lacking Alt Tags. Having investigated this further, we’re a bit confused as to why this could be the case as we’ve added Alt tags to the images it’s showing. For example: https://imgur.com/mTzbL53. However, when you view source, the alt tags aren’t displaying in the HTML (https://imgur.com/928Ti0V).We’re not sure if this is due to our WordPress or RankMath or if there’s any settings we need to change.

How are you adding your images? Are using a page builder?
If the Image Alt text is are missing from images within your post/page content – Rank Math can help you automate the process of adding them. Check the settings for that in WordPress
Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Images.
If the alt text is missing from the images added using your theme, you will need to edit the PHP files for that. Please get in touch with your theme provider and they will be able to provide you with exact instructions on that.
