Sitemap Not Being Indexed

#90859
  • Hello, I have read through the support ticket history and it seems there was a native fix for allowing the sitemap_index page to be indexed. I need to get this page indexed so that content not within the navigation can be crawled first.
Can you please reply the noindex tag in the “X-Robots-Tag’ http header:”

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Are you having that issue with the sitemap_index.xml or with a URL inside it? Since you don’t want your sitemap_index.xml indexed (showing on Google) so it shouldn’t be indexed, but if your issue is inside a URL there, we should check it (could you share the affected URL?).

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Hi Alberto, I do want my sitemap indexed. That’s how pages that are not in our navigation get crawled by Google. It is very imperative that I get this sitemap crawled ASAP.
Can you please fix the x-tag header as soon as possible?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

It seems your Flywheel server is caching your sitemap(https://i.rankmath.com/s0PDyK). Please get in touch with your hosting to help in excluding your sitemaps from being cached. If you have a caching plugin on your site, you should also add your sitemaps to be excluded from caching. Caching your sitemap results in Google crawling the cached version of your sitemaps and therefore not updating the latest posts.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
