  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the schema markup on your page. It seems that the presence of additional schema tags for other articles may be due to how the blog is constructed or how the schema is configured in the Rank Math plugin.

To address this issue, we recommend the following steps:

    1. Check Schema Configuration: Ensure that the Schema Module is correctly configured for your specific post. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math > Dashboard in your WordPress admin area and verifying that the Schema settings are appropriate for your recipe post.

    2. Use Code Validation: Utilize the Code Validation feature in Rank Math to identify any issues with your schema code before publishing. You can access this by opening the Schema settings for your post and clicking on the Code Validation tab. This will help you see if there are any errors in the schema markup.

    3. Test with Google: After making any adjustments, use the Google Rich Results Testing Tool again to check if the unwanted schema tags are still present.

    4. Re-indexing: If you make changes to your schema, remember that it may take some time for Google to re-index your pages and reflect those changes in search results.

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

Rank Math adds the Article schema automatically for your posts, depending on the settings you have in Rank Math > Title & Meta > Posts > Schema Type. If you do not want the Article schema to be automatically added to your posts, you can change that settings. You can also remove the Article schema in your posts individually – here’s a short illustration:

Please note that having the Article schema in addition to your Recipe schema would not affect your SEO in any way; it can contribute to it. But you will need Rank Math PRO to use and manage multiple schemas for your posts/pages.

We hope this helps clarify the issue. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

I understand, but the question is why on this one page with a recipe there is still a scheme of markups from other posts? Should it be like this or doesn’t it mislead Google?

    Hello,

The Article Schemas are not being added by our plugin. Another plugin or your theme is adding them. Our plugin adds the Schema using JSON-LD code and the Article Schema types are being added using Microdata.

You can follow this guide to figure out which plugin or if your theme is adding the Article Schemas: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

And tell me, using my article as an example, is there a recommended markup scheme here – for example, a recipe and an article? In addition to the recipe itself, I also have a lot of content about health properties, storage methods, etc.

    Hello,

It’s fine to use an Article Schema alongside a Recipe Schema but that is not necessary for recipe-related blog posts.

Given the article is about a recipe, you can use a single Recipe Schema, which is much more suitable rather than trying to use both and getting the chance of confusing search engines on what type of page that is.

For other blog posts, if the Recipe Schema is not suitable you can default to the Article Schema.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
