My pages aren’t indexing, despite ‘index’ being ticked

The only page on our website that will index in Google is our home page. All other 11 pages will not index. I have looked at each page and they are all ticked “index”. Our developer looked to see if there was a technical issue and he can’t find anything.

I am not a technical person. I have looked at every tab in RankMath and on each of our pages to see if I am missing something. I am completely out of ideas.

Please can you guide me on what I am to do to get my website indexed again? I looked in the forum to see if anyone else had the same problem; after 15 minutes I found nothing that aligned to my issue.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Since you have not set your pages to noindex and they also seem to be included in your sitemap, please do the following:

    1. I noted your sitemap is being cached. You should exclude all your sitemap URLs from being cached. Once done, clear your cache, resave your permalink and sitemap settings.

    2. Go to your GSC and ensure you have verified the correct version of your site(https/http and www/non-www). If you have submitted any sitemaps, please remove and resubmit only the main sitemap(sitemap_index.xml). Give it sometime to crawl and if there are any errors please let us know.

Please note that it is completely upto Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your posts noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your page – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your page yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.

Please check this website for more details.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
