Hey, I dont want the schema data of an event visible below the content on the page.
So if i set the Review Location to Custom (use shortcode) its hidden, but can Google still read the data and display it in SERPS?
    Regards Chris

  • Hello, we apologize for the issue you are facing. When you set the Review Location to Custom and use a shortcode to place the schema data, it is indeed possible for Google to read the data as long as the schema markup is correctly implemented in the backend.

However, it’s important to note that Google prefers schema data to be visible on the page for better eligibility for rich results. If the schema data is not visible to users, it may affect how Google interprets your content and its chances of being displayed in SERPs.

For more detailed guidance on configuring schema markup, you can refer to our documentation on Schema Markup.

    Hello,

Please note that when you add any schema on Rank Math, it is added to your page source. If you don’t want Google to show this schema, you can remove the schema from the Rank Math SEO Meta box schema tab.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

Hey, where exactly is the Rank Math SEO Meta box schema tab?

Ok, but its still not clear to me … sorry.
So back to my first question: If I set the Review Location to Custom (use shortcode), is the schema still written in the source of the page and can be read by Google, even if I don´t use the shortcode?
    Chris

    Hello,

Please note that the Review Location option in the schema is only used to display this same schema in the front end that you’re using on your post/page. The main purpose of adding a schema is to add this to your page source so that Google can get more information on the page content and display this on SERPs.

Hope that helps to clarify your doubts and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
