  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemaps in Google Search Console. The error you are encountering could be due to several reasons related to the configuration of your sitemap or how it is being submitted. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

    1. Validate Your Sitemap

Make sure your sitemap is correctly configured. You can use the Validate XML Sitemap tool to check for any issues. If your sitemap is valid, it should return a "No issues detected" message.

    2. Ensure the Sitemap is Located in the Root Folder

Check that your sitemap is located in the root folder of your WordPress installation. The URL should look like this:

    3. Check Indexing Settings

Ensure that your posts are set to index. Go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and make sure the Index checkbox is enabled in the Robots Meta settings.

    Index Titles and Meta settings

    4. Review Robots.txt File

Make sure there are no rules in your robots.txt file that might be blocking Google from accessing your sitemap. You can check this in Rank Math SEO → General Settings → robots.txt.

    5. Flush Permalinks

If you are getting a 404 error when trying to access your sitemap, try flushing permalinks by going to the Permalinks page in your WordPress dashboard and clicking Save Changes without making any changes.

    6. Check for Plugin Conflicts

Sometimes, other plugins can conflict with Rank Math. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify any potential conflicts.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope to help you get this sorted out soon!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We have seen this type of issue before with Divi. It happens when you are using the Blurb feature in Divi and using a background image in the Blurb.

Users have already reported this to Divi but we suggest you notify them as well to move the issue to priority. You can ask them if they have a solution where these background images of blurbs are not included in the sitemaps.

The functionality of Rank Math being able to see Divi images and adding them to the sitemap was added by the Divi team and that is why it is recommended that you contact them directly.

However, to fix this issue temporarily, you can disable the Images in the Sitemap option in Rank Math sitemap settings or exclude the specific page from here the image URLs are coming. If you’re not able to find the page, you can share your sitemap URL with us so that we can check this further for you.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
