    Rank Math free

Initially, I used Yoast SEO but one day I get to know that there is a new SEO called Rankmath. So I saw a few videos to compare which one is the best and I found that Rankmath is far better than Yoast SEO. Now I am using Rankmath. But I am facing a problem that my pages are not showing on google even after searching with my URL. Specifically, the meta descriptions are not changing. They are still the same as the previous one.

  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch and I am extremely sorry about the trouble this might have caused.

There are a few things you must check for in order to see why the posts aren’t getting indexed.

    1. Make sure the post is not selected as ‘noindex’ in WP > Posts > Your Post > Advanced Tab in Rank Math.
    Screenshot:

    Individual Post Advanced Tab

    2. Ensure that the noindex is not selected for Global or Posts meta:

    Noindex Settings

    3. Check the sitemap settings and check if the posts are setup to be included in the sitemaps:

Please also share your site URL so we can test and check from our end too.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

addysite.com is my site URL. Please help me out. I have some basic knowledge of SEO. I am not an SEO professional. If you help me I will be very thankful. When I am searching addysite only the home page and a service page is showing but in this the meta description is the old one. How many days does it take to show results on google?

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow up.

I checked your site on Google and it shows 9 indexed pages out of the 11 in your sitemap. Your page seems it was last updated 30th of September. If your changes were after these day, you will have to wait for Google to update their cache. I have added a screencast in the sensitive section for clarity.

To force Google to recrawl your pages, I’d suggest removing any previously submitted sitemap from your GSC and resubmit only the main sitemap file(sitemap_index.xml) then give it sometime for Google to crawl and update your pages.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further? This is the graphic page. The meta description is the last one not updated. The last time Google cached was 4th Oct 2020.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Google already has the updated meta for your URL, check the screenshot I have attached in the sensitive section.

Do note that Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.

The best you can do is optimize your meta tags to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.

This section sheds light on that:

Why the search result title might differ from the page's <title> tag

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know.
