Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the User Profile SEO defaulting to Site settings instead of individual users. It seems like there might be a configuration issue with the Rank Math settings for your author profiles.
To ensure that each user has their own SEO settings, please follow these steps:
-
Check User Profile Settings: Navigate to Users → All Users in your WordPress dashboard. Hover over the username and click ‘Edit’. Ensure that the Rank Math SEO settings for that user are correctly configured, including social media links and author meta settings.
-
Rank Math Meta Box: On the user profile edit page, scroll down to the Rank Math meta box. Make sure that the ROBOTS META option is set to ‘Index’ for the author page. This will allow search engines to crawl and index the individual author pages properly.
-
Social Media Links: In the Rank Math section of the user profile, ensure that you have entered the correct social media URLs in the appropriate fields. This will help in linking the author’s social media profiles correctly.
-
Save Changes: After making any changes, don’t forget to click the Update Profile button to save your settings.
-
Testing with Facebook Debugger: After updating, you can use the Facebook Debugger again to scrape the URL and see if it picks up the correct author meta information.
If you have followed these steps and are still experiencing issues, it may be beneficial to reply to this ticket so a human agent from the Rank Math Support team can assist you further.
Thank you for raising this concern, and we hope this helps resolve your issue!

Hello,
Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.
Please follow this guide to help you with your issue: https://rankmath.com/kb/open-graph-image-not-displaying/
As for the information in Google Search, assuming that you’re referring to the title, our plugin already added the title information as you can see below:
Please note that it is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results that even if everything’s fine, Google decides to show a different meta information for your search keyword, there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.
To understand more about this, please check this article: https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/
Hope that helps.
Ok,
I am a little wiser now, but problem still not solved.

Here is the OG:Image settings as per page source for
https://shuffles.com.au/members2/lenka/#
<meta property=”og:image” content=”//shuffles.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/gf-main.jpg” />
<meta property=”og:image:secure_url” content=”//shuffles.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/gf-main.jpg” />
<meta property=”og:image:width” content=”1200″ />
<meta property=”og:image:height” content=”630″ />
gf-main.jpg is gravity forms, which is not isntalled.
Further, the FB graphic that comes up is our site logo, not the user Social image…
I know Im scraping the bottom of the barrell here, but any further ideas ?
Ok,
If I keep the Author base as /author/, it seems to work.
But if I change the author base to say members, it doesnt work.
I am also using BuddyBoss
Hello,
We deeply apologize for the delay in getting back to you.
Since you are using BuddyBoss the author URLs are mostly controlled by that plugin as they take “ownership” of the authors when installed.
What you can try to do besides changing the data in our plugin, also change the data through BuddyBoss by following this tutorial on their website: https://support.buddyboss.com/support/solutions/articles/72000609974-how-to-change-the-wordpress-author-url-slug
That might help get the issue sorted on the website because both our plugin and BuddyBoss would be in sync.
Thank you.
