  • Hello, we apologize for the issue you are facing with your meta title and description not showing up as expected in Google search results. This can happen for several reasons, and we appreciate you bringing this concern to our attention.

Here are some common reasons why Google might choose to display a different meta title or description:

    1. Google’s Algorithms: Google often generates its own titles and descriptions based on the content of the page and the search query. This is done to provide users with the most relevant information.

    2. Title/Description in Source Code: It’s important to ensure that the meta title and description are correctly set in the page’s source code. You can check this by right-clicking on your page and selecting View page source. Make sure that the title and description match what you have set in Rank Math.

    3. Schema Settings: Ensure that your schema settings in Rank Math are valid. The Headline in the Schema Builder should show %seo_title% and the Description should show %seo_description%. This ensures that your SEO title and description are used for structured data as well.

    4. Page Not Indexed: If the latest version of your page hasn’t been indexed by Google, it may still show an older version of the title and description. You can check if your page is indexed by searching for site:yourdomain.com in Google.

    5. Content Relevance: If your title or description is not descriptive enough or is too similar to other pages on your site, Google may opt to rewrite it to better match user intent.

Please have a look at this ticket.

    Hello,

We’ve checked the meta title and description tag of the URL, and it is already set in the page’s source code.

You can also verify the title and description by using these tools:

Please note that Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and shows something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better.
