    Hello,

I connected rankmath and tried everything but i get the following error when i try to get the status.

Requested entity was not found, even the homepage, none of my pages are going to Google.

You can try this by indexing the homepage and then retrieving the status.
    https://www.pechlijn.nl/

Google property etc is all set and should be working.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the "Requested entity was not found" error. This can occur for several reasons, including issues with your website’s indexing status or potential problems with the connection to Google Search Console.

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Verify Your Site URL: Ensure that the correct site URL is added to Google Search Console. You can refer to our guide on adding a URL property to the Search Console.

    2. Check Sitemap Submission: Make sure that your sitemap is correctly submitted in Google Search Console. Navigate to Indexing → Sitemaps and paste the correct sitemap URL in the Add a new sitemap field and click SUBMIT. Ensure there are no spaces in the sitemap URL, as this can lead to errors.
Add the sitemap to Google Search Console

    3. Wait for Google to Index: If your website is new or if you’ve recently made changes, it may take some time for Google to index your pages. You can use Rank Math’s Instant Indexing feature if you are a PRO user to submit your URLs directly.

    4. Check for Content Duplication: If there are duplicate content issues, it may prevent indexing. Ensure that you have canonical URLs set up correctly for any duplicate pages.
      Canonical URL

    5. Inspect for Crawl Issues: Check if your website is blocked by Google or if there are crawl budget issues affecting your site. You can do this by searching for your website on Google and seeing if it appears in the results.

If you have tried all these steps and are still encountering issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern, and we’re here to help!

    Hi,

I did all the above steps and they are correctly setup.
Also i am using the instant indexing.

When i index the pages its green and working but when i check the status its not, it has been like this for around 5 days now normally if i indexed and checked status it was immediatly working.

    Hello,

Assuming you have submitted the URL, that means that the URL was still not processed by the Indexing API from Google. It’s important to note that the requirements for that have changed and now the URLs go through rigorous spam detection.

Besides that, the guidelines now state that this is exclusive to a particular set of websites, so if your website doesn’t fall under that category or is considered spammy the submission will go through but the API will never parse the URLs.

You can check the full guidelines here: https://developers.google.com/search/apis/indexing-api/v3/quickstart

    API

In this case, you should check your Google Search Console > Indexing > Pages section to determine any issues reported on your URLs that may have prevented your site from being indexed:

To better understand the status reported, you may refer to our guide here:

I would still like some help.
If i manually index my pages through the google search console everything works fine.

If i submit through rankmath instant indexing i get a green marker back but when i check the status it gives request entity not found.

I have done hundreds of website in the same way and never had this issue so it feels like i forgot a step or something is wrong can you please look into this?

    Hello,

That is nothing wrong with the plugin but Google is now enforcing the directives in the Indexing API so any website that doesn’t fall under the accepted category or is considered spammy will simply be ignored and when that happens you cannot fetch the status of any page because those are not in the API.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
