  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your category pages and the related Google Search Console errors. Thank you for raising this concern.

    Indexing Category Pages for SEO

Category pages can and should be indexed for better SEO performance, especially if they serve as landing pages that help users find relevant content on your site. Properly optimized category pages can enhance your website’s rankings and improve user experience. You can customize the Robots Meta for category archive pages in Rank Math by enabling the Category Archives Robots Meta option from Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Categories settings. This allows you to control how these pages are indexed.

    Resolving Google Search Console Errors

Regarding the error message stating, "Either offers, review, or aggregateRating should be specified," this typically relates to structured data issues. To resolve this:

    1. Ensure that your category pages include the necessary structured data markup for products or services offered. This includes specifying offers, reviews, or aggregate ratings as applicable.
    2. You can use tools like Google’s Rich Results Test to validate your structured data and see if there are any issues.
    3. After making the necessary adjustments, return to Google Search Console and validate the fixes by clicking on the VALIDATE FIX button in the error details section.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

You can index the category pages if you think they can rank and bring traffic to your site. However, make sure to enable the Noindex Sub Pages option in WP Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Titles & Meta > Misc Pages to prevent the paginated pages from getting indexed.

To fix the error, navigate to WP Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Titles & Meta > Product Categories and enable the Remove Snippet Data option to fix.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

    Thank you.
