    Cannot connect my site.

    It was connected.

I went through the Advance Wizard, completely–TWO times.

I disconnected the site from my Rank Math account.

I went though the connection wizard again. Had to reconnect Search Console and Analytics (again).

No matter what it will not connect.

    This is exhausting.

I LOVE Rank Math SEO – Best SEO plugin EVER.

But this is a total PITA.

    Let’s sort this out please.

    Chris

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with connecting your site to Rank Math. It sounds quite frustrating, and we appreciate your patience as we work through this.

Since you’ve already confirmed that the Site URL and Home URL are the same and have gone through the connection wizard multiple times, here are a few additional steps you can try:

    1. Ensure you are using the latest version of Rank Math. You can check for updates in your WordPress dashboard.

    2. Clear your browser, website, and site-level cache. Sometimes cached data can cause connection issues. You can refer to our guide on clearing cache in WordPress.

    3. Disconnect and reconnect your Rank Math account again. You can do this by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Dashboard → Help and selecting Disconnect Account. After that, try reconnecting your website.
Disconnect Your Website from Rank Math

    4. If the warning persists, you may need to add a filter to your website to bypass the URL check. You can add the following code to your theme’s functions.php file:

      /**
      * Filter whether we need to check for URL mismatch or not.
      */
      add_filter( 'rank_math/registration/do_url_check', '__return_false' );

This should help maintain the connection without issues.

If you continue to experience problems after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to resolving this for you!

Wow, I submit a support ticket, wait for a response, and the responses I get is 90% the same as the chat answer I got BEFORE I submitted this ticket. What a time waster. Rank Math seo is a great plugin but the support is…

    Hello,

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

Could you please confirm if you’re referring to the Google Search Console and Analytics account?

If so, you can skip the Google connection process in the Setup Wizard.

Please verify using the URL prefix and ensure that you have verified the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www).

    Prefix

You can follow our guide here to create the URL Prefix property:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/#num-1-1-open-google-search-console

The URL-prefix property also helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as we submit it automatically for you. In addition, the domain property won’t work correctly on some sections of the Analytics module such as the IndexStatus.

Regarding the Analytics drop-down, could you please confirm if you have already created a GA4 property for your website?

If not yet, please visit this page (https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/) and sign up for a Google Analytics account and property, then reconnect your Google Account so the new Analytics account will reflect in that section.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you for your care.

Synapsely.com was added to Google Search Console in 2023 as a Domain. Not as a URL Prefix. So, this is not relevant.

BTW The autobot help refers to using a Help tab which does not exist in my install.

(N.B. this site is on a WPMU Network install. Many of my other sites are on this network and they all work with Rank Math no issues)

Please help me get Synapsely.com workign on Rank Math.

I see it is not in Rank Math now so I willtry to add it again using he site wizard.

    Hello,

Regarding the help tab, this is not showing most likely because you have network-activated Rank Math. The recommended method of installing Rank Math on multisite is to activate it individually on the subsite. The Rankbot (and until now us) was not aware that this instal was a multi-site, which is why it had suggested reconnecting using the ‘Help’ tab. The Google connection will not work unless your site is connected to a Rank Math account.

Can you confirm if you have added this filter to your website?

    add_filter( 'rank_math/registration/do_url_check', '__return_false' );

If not, please do. You can add the code to your site using any of the methods here.

If this issue persist, please share access to your website with us so we can investigate further.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation

Thank you. I added the filter as PHP codesnippet using WP Code.

Synapsely.com is connected to Rankmath but ti will not conenct to GSC Google Search Console.

    GSC for Synapsely.com says:

    241 not indexed pages
    1 indexed page

I verified that the WordPress Hide this site from search engines is UNchecked.

I have verified GSC in Cloudflare.
I cannot find a way to connect Rank Math to GSC.

I read through both methods on this guide:

    https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/

I do not think I should create anotehr property in GSC i order to get RM connected to GSC.

The second method has instructions and screen shotsthat do not match the Rank Math on Synapsely.com
So, I’m unable to connect GSC to RM on this site.

N.B. The site is connectedto a GA Google Analytics GA4 property.
GSC and this GA4 account are associated.

I would REALLY like to get Synapsely.com fully indexed by GSC.

Thank you in advance for helping me get the site and GSC connected via RM.

    Chris

    Hello,

Please make sure that you’ve connected the correct Google account and not connecting to Google Search Console via a domain property but rather a URL prefix and that you have verified the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www).

Please note that you may need to choose the property https://domain.com/ and not the sc:domain.com upon connecting your site.

The URL-prefix property also helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as we submit it automatically for you. In addition, the domain property won’t work correctly on some sections of the Analytics module such as the IndexStatus.

In this case, please follow our guide here to create the URL Prefix property
    https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/#num-1-1-open-google-search-console

    Prefix

After that, please try reconnecting your Google Account again from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics, and don’t forget to check all the necessary permission.

Let us know how this goes.

    Thank you.

So, this is the second time I’m instructed to add a new property.

I ALREADY HAVE https://synapsely.com/ as a Google Search Console Property.

I already have done Step 1.2 Select Property Type:

    Domain or URL Prefix.

I have ONE GSC Google Search Connsole account.

    I have ONE https://synapsely.com/ property.

It is connected to a GA4 Google Analytics property.

I do NOT want to create a new property.

I have done this many times with Rank Math SEO. I do not kknow why this time, this URL si such a problem with Rank Math SEO.

N.B. ALL of my personal sites in my personal Rank Math account, are in this same WPMU WordPress Multisite network. ALL of the other sites have zero issues like this.

I always set up a GA 4 account, then a GSC account, then connect Rank Math to the site.
This time Rank Math won’t connect.

ALL of my sites use CloudFlare for DNS.

All of my sites’ GSC properties are verified at CloudFlare using a text record.

Can I use the Google TXT record info I used at Cloudflare to authenticate Rank Mathe with my GSC? I cannot find a way to do that.

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.
