Hi
My sitemap has gone,
they were there but for some reason they are gone.
How do I recreate them?

Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemap. To recreate your sitemap using Rank Math, please follow these steps:
-
Enable the Sitemap Module: Ensure that the Sitemap module is enabled in Rank Math. You can do this by going to Rank Math > Dashboard and checking if the Sitemap module is activated.
-
Check Your Sitemap URL: Once the module is enabled, your sitemap should be accessible at
https://yourdomainname/sitemap_index.xml. Replaceyourdomainnamewith your actual domain name. -
Flush Permalinks: If you encounter a 404 error or if the sitemap is still not appearing, try flushing your permalinks. You can do this by going to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard and simply clicking Save Changes without making any changes. This often resolves issues with sitemap visibility.
-
Check for Conflicts: If the sitemap still does not appear, check for any plugin conflicts that might be affecting it. You can use the Health Check plugin to help identify any issues.
-
Review Server Configuration: If you are using an Apache or Nginx server, ensure that the necessary rewrite rules are in place as mentioned in our documentation:

Your sitemap is already working fine.
Please note that Rank Math’s sitemaps are generated virtually/dynamically. This means that you won’t find any static sitemap XML files in your website directory.
