Home page is not showing in sitemap

    Hi, my website’s homepage is not included in the sitemap. I’ve tried several methods to resolve the issue, but nothing has worked. I have tried all your guides to solve this issue but it didn’t work, therefore, google cannot recognize my website home page:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/url-not-in-sitemap/

    Please help me with this. thanks.

    2. Check for Custom Canonicals: If you have set a custom canonical URL for your homepage, it may not show up in the sitemap. Make sure to remove any custom canonical tags if they are not necessary.

    3. Validate Your Sitemap: Use the Validate XML Sitemap tool to ensure that your sitemap is correctly configured. Enter your sitemap URL and click VALIDATE SITEMAP. If there are issues, the tool will provide feedback.

    4. Check Sitemap Location: Ensure that your sitemap is located in the root folder of your WordPress installation. The correct URL should look like this: https://yourdomainname.com/sitemap_index.xml.

    5. Review Robots.txt File: Make sure that there are no rules in your robots.txt file that might be blocking the homepage from being indexed. You can check this under Rank Math SEO → General Settings → robots.txt.
