Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Rank math only adds one sitelinks Searchbox, to your homepage. You can confirm this by testing your URLs with Google rich results test tool: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results
You can also share your URLs so we can test your site from our end.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Michael, it is over 870 URLs or 70% of the sitemap and on the first crawl after the update.
Hello,
Could you share your site URL (in the Sensitive Data section) so we can check it?
Looking forward to help you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Also please note that after each update, any draft unpublished article loses its rank math metatag descriptions, as in they go blank and default to “article” when I have set to blog posting.
I just posted the same problem. Out of the blue last weekend all of a sudden loads of extra pages showing sitelinks.
Let me know how it gets fixed?
Yes mate, will let you know. Also every article I update now reverts from blogposting to “article” even though my default is blogposting. I actually have to manually save the schema in each article before it works.
Still waiting for someone to check it from the support team.
Hello,
The latest version (1.0.48.2) should fix it but in any case, I checked some posts and I was not able to find sitelinks anymore. Could you let us know if that still happens to you?
Looking forward to help you.
Hi Alberto, I will not know if it is working until Google Search Console starts updating from new crawls.
Also, there is still the problem of posts defaulting to article for the schema when I need it to be blog posting. It won’t save as blog posting until I physically save it in the post. In the settings, the default is blog posting.
Alberto sitelinks just went up by another 17 pages, obviously a problem in the new update.
Hello,
I asked the devs and they told me they have changed the behavior in the latest update. The Sitelinks search box is added to the Website entity which points to the home URL. So there shouldn’t be an issue.
Still, if you want to disable it, then please add the following filter code to your theme’s functions.php file:
add_filter( 'rank_math/json_ld/disable_search', '__return_true' );
I hope that helps. Thank you.
SO either do not have sitelinks or have 1200 sitelinks?
Hello,
Even though the sitelink search box seems to appear on all your pages it is pointed to your homepage which means you don’t really have 1200 sitelinks, just one appearing on all your pages
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
IN google search it is listed as 1379 sitelinks.
