Hi, your latest update is not pulling from the global meta settings for posts and is instead auto populating with a random tag from other posts. Can you correct this, please?

Any feedback?
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
Asuming you have already added the filter to make the description pick from global settings, please note that the meta is not usually shown in the post preview. It should however be added in the front end of your post. You can confirm this by checking your page source or using this tool: https://www.heymeta.com/
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Excuse me but you are not making yourself clear. I am not sure you have studied this correctly.
The process was working properly before the update, now all new posts do not grab from the default meta loaded in the settings but a random post and inserts a random focus keyword.
That only happened AFTER the last update.
Hello,
We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Also further to this, I have always had the tags default to blog posting, and now it won’t accept that instead it is defaulting to article posting and no meta description.
If I change an old post now I have to make sure to manually save the schema to get it to remain as a blog post with the description. WHats happening so many bugs?

Hello,
Rank math uses and excerpt of your post content if you have not added any meta description for your posts. You seem to have you meta defined on your posts which is added correctly in the front end, please check the screencast I have added in the sensitive section.
If you are still facing this issue, please create a screencast with https://www.loom.com and share in the sensitive section so we can understand how to assist you.
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
I don’t think you understand. That screenshot is a completed and published an article where I made all the changes already.
What I was referring to was a new unsaved article pulling random keywords from other articles and not using a default meta description.
However, since yesterday this seems to have magically corrected itself.
However, the defaulting to blogposting for the schema is still not working, but instead uses an article default until I save blogposting in the post itself.
Hello,
I am glad the first issue is resolved.
There is also no issue with the default article schema. It is just a change in the UI that might make it seem as if the default is not selected. If you click on schema tab of a new post the click on edit article schema you will not the selected default is actually your default blogposting schema. Please check the new screencast I have added in the sensitive section.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Michael
You missed a few critical steps in your video. Try saving the post and see how it looks because despite checking and seeing blog posting as the default, it will save as a default of article. You need to then go back in and resave the actual scheme before it reverts to blog posting.
I have included my video to show you this in the sensitive section.
Hello,
The actual schema, in this case BlogPosting, is added when you publish the post/page. You can try publishing a test page without changing any schema data then check in the page source or in the post lists page and you will see the default schema is the one added. It is likely it was not reflecting in your video since you had it as a draft. I have added another screencast in the sensitive section to make this clear.
Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
No, Michael, this happens with published posts also when I edited them and resaved it went from blogpostig to article and I have to go back in and resave. This did not happen on the older version.
