  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Before requesting to get the status, please try to submit the URL in Publish/Update URL first as Google isn’t aware of this URL. Once done, please check the URL again with Get URL Status.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We released an update for the Instant Indexing plugin (v1.1.21) where the issue has been fixed. Please make sure you’re using the latest version of the plugin on your website: https://wordpress.org/plugins/fast-indexing-api/

Once done, please clear your website cache and check again.

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hi bro, any update?

    Hello,

It’s important to emphasize that the situation with the “Get status” returning a 404 error happens when the URL being tested was not previously submitted to the Indexing API.

So, you need to first submit it, and wait for Google to parse it and only then you can request the status for the URL.

As for the submissions, those should be working now with the latest version of the plugin, so please update it from your plugins directory.

    Thank you.

Bro, I checked everything! But nothing happen.

I also shared my wp access. If you want you can check it from your end.

I submitted a url in “Publish/update” section yesterday. But still when I check “get status”, I face Error 404 Requested entity was not found issue.

    Hello,

That means that the URL was still not processed by the Indexing API from Google. It’s important to note that the requirements for that have changed and now the URLs go through rigorous spam detection.

Besides that, the guidelines now state that this is exclusive to a particular set of websites, so if your website doesn’t fall under that category or is considered spammy the submission will go through but the URLs will never be parsed by the API.

You can check the full guidelines here: https://developers.google.com/search/apis/indexing-api/v3/quickstart

    API

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

That means The API era is finished for blog post!

    Hello,

The Indexing API is still active but limited to certain types of sites like job postings or live streams, as per Google’s latest guidelines. Blog posts and other content may not be fully effective for instant indexing through the API.

For regular content, ensure your sitemap is submitted to Google Search Console, and allow time for Google to index the content naturally.

Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.
