    Hello,
I have a site on infernosounds and want to complain about something I haven’t found a solution for.

For example when you google: “we bless sinach mp3 download infernosounds” it shows the post on Google but I have set a different meta title and description and that meta title is not showing on Google, instead it just shows the kind of default meta title. I don’t know why it does this on some of my posts.

Also if you look at the Meta title on Google it says: Sinach – We Bless ft. Travis Greene – Infernosounds
I have been trying to take – Infernosounds out of my post titles and nothing is changing afterwards, some posts change, some don’t. I have removed site name from titles and meta section under rankmath settings.

I’ve attached all screenshots in the sensitive data section.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the meta titles and descriptions not appearing as you have set them in Rank Math. This can be frustrating, and we appreciate you bringing this concern to our attention.

When Google displays a different meta title or description than what you’ve set, it can be due to several reasons:

    1. Relevance: Google may find that the meta description or title you provided is not relevant or useful for the search query. If the content on your page better matches what users are searching for, Google might choose to display that instead.

    2. Default Titles: Sometimes, Google uses default titles based on the content of your page, such as the element or prominent headings like. If your post title includes "- Infernosounds" and you want to remove it, ensure that it is not being pulled from any other part of your site or settings.

    3. Indexing Issues: If the latest version of your page hasn’t been indexed yet, Google might still be showing an older version. You can check if your page has been indexed properly.

    4. Meta Description Quality: If your meta description is too generic or similar across multiple pages, Google may opt to rewrite it. Make sure each description is unique and tailored to the specific content of the post.

To troubleshoot this further, you can:

    • Check what you have set using Rank Math to ensure that the changes are saved correctly. Here’s how to do it:
      • For Classic Editor: Editing Meta Title and Description using Classic Editor
      • For Gutenberg: Editing Meta Title and Description in Gutenberg
    • Ensure your schema settings are valid and that there are no conflicting settings in Rank Math.
    • Check the source code of your page to see if the correct meta title and description are being outputted.

If you continue to experience issues after checking these points, please reply to this ticket with any additional details or screenshots, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for your patience, and we’re here to help!

Google Shows A Different Meta Title/Description For My Site » Rank Math

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We’ve checked your page and we can see Rank Math is generating the meta title and description properly. You can also check by using https://rankmath.com/tools/meta-tag-analyzer/ and https://www.heymeta.com/

However, please note that nowadays, Google does that very commonly. Even when everything is fine, Google may choose to display a different meta title and description for your search query result. Google may skip the custom metadata you have set and instead display something from the page’s content that better matches the search intent.
