Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing. To update your property type to a domain property in Rank Math, you will need to reconnect your Google account and select the URL-prefix property instead of the domain property. Here’s how you can do it:
- Go to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics.
- Disconnect your current Google account connection.
- Reconnect your Google account, and during this process, ensure you select the URL-prefix property (which includes a prefix
sc-domain:) instead of the domain property.
- After connecting, you should be able to enable the Index Status tab and fetch data properly in Rank Math Analytics.
If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you.
Thank you for raising your concern!

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Rank Math support.
To do this, you can create a new property from the Google Search Console dashboard.
Please keep in mind that Rank Math suggests using the URL-prefix property type (i.e. the one with ‘HTTPS’). This is because some features of the Rank Math plugin, such as Index Status, do not function effectively with the Domain property type.
Feel free to ask if you require assistance with anything else.
