Sitemaps Not Working

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your sitemaps. It seems that the 404 errors you are encountering may be due to a few reasons. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

1. Flush Permalinks: Sometimes, simply flushing the permalinks can resolve 404 errors. To do this, go to your WordPress admin area and navigate to Settings → Permalinks, then click the Save Changes button without making any changes. This action can refresh the permalink structure.

   

2. Check Sitemap URL: Ensure that you are submitting the correct sitemap URL to Google. The correct URL should be something like https://httpstatus.io/ instead ofhttps://httpstatus.io/.

3. Check for Plugin Conflicts: If the issue persists, there might be a plugin conflict. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify any conflicts.

4. Review Robots.txt: Make sure that your robots.txt file is not blocking access to your sitemap. You can check this by going to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → robots.txt.

5. Server Configuration: If you are using an Apache or Nginx server, ensure that the necessary rewrite rules are in place as mentioned in our documentation. For Apache, you may need to add specific rules to your .htaccess file, and for Nginx, you would need to modify your Nginx config file.
