    Hello,

I want to ask a query, that my website URLs properly Crawled and Indexed. Start showing on Google SERP also with good ranking. But now my website URLs are starting to De-Indexing from Google. I have checked Google Console it shows that my URls are De-Indexing and showing a page error called (Crawled – currently not indexed).

I didn’t understand why this was happening. I regularly posting and updating my content on my website. Don’t use any black tricks for Indexing. Simply use the URL Inspection tool in GSC for indexing pages. I have also checked the RankMath plugin for any type of No-Index tab that is active. I have launched my website in June – 2024. If you say that my content is not good then when Google Indexed and showed my pages for the first time.

The main point is why this error shows now, as I have already indexed my page, and shows on Google also. If the process goes like this, then I have to stand at that time when I have live my website.

I request you, please look into this matter and do the needful ASAP.

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with your website URLs being marked as "Crawled – currently not indexed" in Google Search Console. This can be a frustrating situation, especially after your pages were previously indexed and ranking well.

When you see this status, it typically indicates that Google has crawled your URLs but has chosen not to index them. There could be several reasons for this:

    1. Site-Wide Quality Issues: Sometimes, if there are many pages on your site that are of low quality or thin content, it can affect the indexing of other important pages. Google’s John Mueller has mentioned that it’s often a site-wide issue rather than just a problem with specific pages.

    2. Content Quality: Even if your content was previously indexed, Google continuously evaluates the quality of content. If there have been changes in Google’s algorithms or if your content is deemed less valuable over time, it may lead to de-indexing.

    3. Internal Linking Structure: Ensure that your important pages have sufficient internal links from other relevant pages on your site. This helps Google understand the importance of those pages.

    4. Discrepancy in Reporting: Sometimes, there can be discrepancies between the URL Inspection Tool and the Index Coverage report in Google Search Console. The URL Inspection Tool provides more recent data, so it’s essential to rely on it for the current status of your pages.

If you find that most of the URLs affected are important pages with valuable content, we recommend improving the overall quality and structure of your website. You can also check for any potential issues using the Index Status report in Rank Math’s Analytics.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The Crawled – currently not indexed status means Google has crawled these pages but has not indexed them. Finding a certain number of URLs with this status is entirely normal because Google does not index all the URLs we submit.

This isn’t an error but there are some reasons for excluding the pages from its index. Here’s a link for more information and how to fix it: https://rankmath.com/kb/crawled-currently-not-indexed/

There is nothing you can do to solve the Crawled – Currently not Indexed status other than wait for Google to start indexing them, as it means that Google has successfully crawled the URLs but hasn’t decided to index them yet due to reasons only known to them.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
