Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the "Missing field ‘name’ (in ‘author’)" errors in Google Search Console. It seems that even after enabling the Author option in Rank Math settings, the error persists.
To address the missing author name issue, please ensure that you have set the author information correctly for your posts or products. You can check this by editing the individual posts or products and confirming that the author field is filled out properly.
Regarding the category sitemaps, both URLs you provided serve different purposes:
- **https://rankmath.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Select-Set-Schema-default-product.png – This is typically for standard blog categories.
- **https://rankmath.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/Select-Set-Schema-default-product.png – This is specifically for WooCommerce product categories.
You should keep both sitemaps if you have both blog posts and WooCommerce products on your site. If you only have one type of content (either blog posts or products), then you can delete the sitemap that is not relevant to your content.
If you continue to experience issues with the author name error, we recommend replying to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
Thank you for raising this concern!

Hello,
Thank you for contacting support.
We noticed that this issue is caused by the reviews that are added anonymously to the website and thus the name of the author of the review is hidden.
Since Google requires that all reviews added to the website include the author’s information this issue cannot be corrected unless you don’t allow your users to add reviews anonymously:

As for the sitemaps, the ones you mentioned are for different categories.
The first one is for the categories of the blog posts and the second is for the product categories. Since our plugin generated one sitemap per post type and taxonomy, that is the default behavior.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Where should I set not allow your users to add reviews anonymously?
Hello,
By default, WooCommerce doesn’t allow for anonymous reviews to be added so this must be coming from some add-on plugin you have installed to extend WooCommerce functionality.
You would need to check which one is allowing that and also remove any anonymous reviews you currently have on the website to be able to pass the Rich Results test for those pages.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
We dont have any setup for reviews at all

Hello,
Looking at the screenshot we can see that the reviews are enabled and you can see all the reviews of the website under WordPress Dashboard > Products > Reviews.
There you would need to delete the ones with an anonymous user to be able to correct this error and pass validation.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
“Missing field “name” (in “author”)” — started scanning, however I see we have also missing dield name REVIEW and AgregadeRating.
How can we fix these one please?

Willanyone reply me here?
Hey there,
The error on your product is because there are no reviews in its structured data. After checking the product pages you shared in the sensitive sections, I noticed that none of the pages have any reviews.
To fix the missing field issue, you’ll need to add reviews to the product page. It’s worth noting that the missing field is optional. If you don’t have any reviews yet, Rank Math will automatically add them to your structured data once you get some.

Hopefully, this clears things up. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to let us know.
