Hello,
We apologize for the issue you are facing with the 404 Monitor. The 404 Monitor in Rank Math helps you track and manage 404 errors on your website. A 404 error occurs when a requested page or file cannot be found on the server. This can happen for various reasons, such as incorrect URLs, deleted files, or moved content.
In your case, the hits you are seeing for the specific JavaScript files indicate that visitors are trying to access these files, but they are not available on your server. Here’s a breakdown of what you can do:
-
Identify the Source: Check if these files are linked in your website’s code or if they are part of a plugin (in this case, Elementor). If they are not needed, you may want to remove the references to them.
-
Check Plugin Settings: Sometimes, plugins like Elementor may have settings that allow you to regenerate or re-upload missing assets. Ensure that your plugins are up to date and configured correctly.
-
Contact Plugin Support: If these files are essential for your site’s functionality, consider reaching out to Elementor support for assistance in resolving the missing files issue.
-
Clear Logs: Once you have addressed the issues, you can clear the logs in the 404 Monitor to keep your records clean. You can do this by clicking on Clear Log or deleting individual entries as needed.

How to Monitor 404 Errors with Rank Math SEO Plugin
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Please note that we only report the 404s and unfortunately, we do not have information on how or why they are generated. You can get further insight into them by enabling the advanced monitor: https://rankmath.com/kb/monitor-404-errors/#advanced-404-monitor
That will give you more information like referrer and user-agent. You can use that information to track down the source or find out if it is just bots generating those errors.
You can fix these errors by redirecting them to a related page on your website:
https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/
Or you can exclude the URLs from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor: https://rankmath.com/kb/general-settings/#exclude-paths
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
