Sitemap not completing Domain in images

    Hi,

I don’t know what version this came out on but I have never seen this before with previous versions of Rank Math and now across all my client sites, the sitemap_index.xml is listing incomplete image paths. For an example, here is what’s listed on the sitemap:

    URL: /images/clients/omahaguttercompany.svg
    URL: /images/clients/americanstandard.png
    URL: /images/clients/crownhealth.png

On my WordPress sites, I create these folders and add these images through the FTP and don’t follow the traditional WordPress media upload. For images this these, the domain should auto-complete in the sitemap and look like this:

    URL: https://www.creativejolt.com/images/clients/omahaguttercompany.svg

Does this make sense and is it possible for you to fix?

Once again, this issue is happening across every one of my sites. I have login data provided for 1 site in-case you need to look. Please be gentle.

Thank you for a great product!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I tried to log in to check it but I was redirected to another site with ads, could you check it?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Sorry, that’s my fault. I will not be able to take it off as I have a firewall restricting a majority of countries from access the site. I sometimes forget about that redirect. :). One of our ways of combating spam.

Can you use a VPN and access it from a United States or Canada IP address?

    Hello,

We managed to login and saw the issue.

The issue that you are using relative image URLs in your pages. This is fine when viewing in browsers but Rank Math exact the image paths exactly as they appear in your posts/pages when using Divi and adds them to the sitemap. We do not check if they are valid and we do not prefix anything to them. This is because the images are made available for adding to the sitemap by the compatibility code added by the Divi team. If you were to use the default WP editor (block or classic), Rank Math would add the domain name as a prefix to your images if they are relative but we do not do that with Divi because of the reason mentioned above.

Can you please contact the Divi team about this? They might have to update their compatibility code to add the domain as a prefix when images are added manually using FTP.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
