Hello, thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue with your website’s sitemap URL structure.
Based on the information provided, it seems like your sitemap is currently located at https://rankmath.com/blog/clear-cache-in-wordpress/ instead of https://rankmath.com/blog/clear-cache-in-wordpress/ as desired.
To resolve this issue and ensure that your sitemap is located at the root level after your domain name, you may need to check and adjust the rewrite rules on your server.
Since you are using Rank Math, you can follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Check your server configuration (Apache or Nginx) based on the server type you are using.
- If you are using an Apache web server, you may need to add rewrite rules to your .htaccess file. You can find the necessary rewrite rules in our knowledge base article here.
- If you are using an Nginx web server, you will need to add rewrite rules to your Nginx config file. The required rewrite rules can also be found in the same knowledge base article.
By adding the correct rewrite rules as per your server type, you should be able to resolve the issue and have your sitemap located at https://rankmath.com/blog/clear-cache-in-wordpress/.
If you encounter any difficulties or need further assistance, please feel free to provide more details or reply to this ticket. We are here to help you.

Hello,
Your site’s permalinks include /blog/, which you can notice on your other pages, not just your posts.
If you want to remove the blog from your sitemap, you may need to remove the blog on your WordPress dashboard > Settings > Permalinks.
Moreover, having the blog in your sitemap does not affect your site’s SEO in any way and is completely normal.
Looking forward to helping you.

Hello,
Rank Math will not work on your HTML website, so you’ll need to manually create the xml sitemap for the main domain at https://www.seovsranking.com/sitemap.xml and also work on the SEO.
Rank Math already creates the sitemap on https://www.seovsranking.com/blog/sitemap_index.xml.
However, the sitemap is cached, please follow the steps in this video to flush and regenerate your sitemap: https://i.rankmath.com/pipRDp
Then exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

Hope this helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
