No cat in breadcrumbs ?

    I have add the breadcrumbs tool in my single.php but the cat is not shown in the breadcrumbs. How to do this ?

    3. Look for the "Show Category(s)" option and make sure it is enabled.

    By enabling this option, the category will be included in the breadcrumbs just before the name of the post on your single.php file.

    If you have already enabled this option and the category is still not showing in the breadcrumbs, please double-check the location where you added the breadcrumbs code in your single.php file. It should be added in the appropriate location to display correctly.

    Yes the breadcrumbs > Show cat is activated.
    I don’t know why it s not displayed.

    Ensure your breadcrumb tool retrieves and displays the post category dynamically from single.php.

    Do you have the primary category set for this post as the one you want to show on the breadcrumbs? You can set the primary category following this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-choose-a-primary-category/

    Our plugin will always display the primary category of the posts and all its children when that is selected.

    the url is a CAT URL not a page or a post.

    the /category/ should not appear
    and there should be a redirection I guess.

    I don’t know why the both CAT URL works. The url with /category/ should redirect to the CAT URL.

    Did I miss an option in rank math ?

    Please head over to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Breadcrumbs and make sure you enable the option “Show Category(s)”. See the screenshot below for your reference:

    In your settings, you didn’t have the categories as the primary taxonomy as explained in the tutorial we shared initially to set the primary category.

    After enabling that, the breadcrumbs follow the same path as the URL and include the category.
