    Rank Math free

    Question on category
    As I edit category on my website I have options for adding Description and rank math snippets, plus focus keywords Etc.. I’ve been leaving these blank.
    Should I be updating these fields and adding keywords? And should the keywords be different from the ones I’ve already used on the site.
    I did a search of the knowledge base on Rank Math found nothing on how Categories actually work for SEO.

    Need some direction — any help is appreciated.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

    Have you set your categories to index? If your categories are to be indexed you can modify the meta data as you wish them to be displayed on the a SERPs. The focus keyword does not have much effect on the Category pages as most of it’s SEO is generated from the posts included.

    If your categories are not set to index, then this should not worry you, you can leave it as it is.
