I’m experiencing an issue with the RankMath SEO plugin on my website FM WhatsApp . Recently, I noticed that some of my pages are not being indexed properly, and my website’s search engine rankings have dropped significantly. I’ve ensured that all the necessary settings in RankMath are correctly configured, and I’ve run the SEO analysis tool, which didn’t indicate any major issues. Additionally, I’ve checked my sitemap, and it appears to be correctly generated and submitted to Google Search Console. Despite these efforts, the indexing and ranking problems persist. I’m looking for advice on troubleshooting this issue and any steps I can take to ensure my pages are indexed correctly and my rankings improve. Any insights or suggestions from the community would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you are facing with the RankMath SEO plugin on your website. It’s frustrating when pages are not indexed properly, and there is a drop in search engine rankings. Thank you for providing detailed information about the problem you are encountering.

Based on the information you provided, it seems like you have already taken some essential steps to address the problem. Since you have ensured that the settings in RankMath are correctly configured, and your sitemap is generated and submitted to Google Search Console, we can explore a few more troubleshooting steps to resolve the indexing and ranking issues:

    1. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes conflicts with other plugins can affect how RankMath functions. You can use the Health Check plugin to identify any conflicts and resolve them.

    2. Review Robots.txt File: Ensure that there are no unintended rules in your robots.txt file that might be blocking search engines from properly indexing your pages.

    3. Custom Canonicals: If you have custom canonicals set up, they might be affecting the indexing of your pages. Consider removing custom canonicals to allow RankMath to generate the canonical URLs.

    4. Monitor Google Algorithm Updates: Google frequently updates its algorithms, which can impact search rankings. Stay informed about these updates and adjust your SEO strategy accordingly.

If after trying these steps, the issue persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.
