Hello,
I apologize for the issue you are facing with your website’s Google SERP preview not matching the settings you have configured in Rank Math. The discrepancy between the preview you see in Rank Math and the actual Google search results can happen due to various reasons, including how Google chooses to display titles and descriptions.
Google often uses different criteria to generate titles for search results, which may result in variations from what you have set up using Rank Math. Google can sometimes opt to display alternative text it deems more relevant or useful based on various signals.
To address this issue, you can take the following steps:
-
Check What You Have Set Using Rank Math: Ensure that you have correctly configured the SEO Meta Title & Description within Rank Math. You can refer to this guide for instructions on setting up titles and descriptions using Rank Math.
-
Ensure Your Schema Settings Are Valid: Verify that the settings in Rank Math’s Schema tab for the post or page align with your SEO title and description settings. You can refer to this guide for more details.
-
Check the Title/Description Set in the Page’s Source Code: Review the title and description set up in your page’s source code to ensure they match your intended settings. You can use the method described in this guide to check the source code.
If after following these steps you still notice discrepancies between your Rank Math settings and the Google SERP preview, it is possible that Google is choosing to display alternative text based on its algorithms and user intent signals.

Google Shows A Different Meta Title/Description For My Site » Rank Math
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
We checked your page on Google and we can confirm Google has changed the meta title on SERPs.
Please note that nowadays, Google does that very commonly. Even when everything is fine, Google may choose to display a different meta title for your search query result. Google may skip the custom metadata you have set and instead display something from the page’s content that better matches the search intent.
You can follow this URL for details on this issue:
https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/
However, the ideal length for the meta title is 50–60 characters but you’re currently using 455 characters which is too long. Please make sure to keep your title tag around this recommanded length.
Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
Appreciated your reply sir.
I have studied provided information thoroughly. I have to ask when setting up schema type. Should I use “Article” option for pages too?

Hello,
Usually, we recommend the default “Article” schema for generic pages since it is the schema that best describes the content. So, we suggest using it on your pages.
Also, if you don’t apply any Schema type to a page, our plugin considers that you don’t want to add any Schema to that page and doesn’t apply the default Schema.
Looking forward to helping you.
