  • Hello,

Thank you for your interest in the Rank Math PRO version and studying the About and Mentions Schema. I understand that you are looking for more detailed information on how to add the "sameAs" Wiki category to the About and Mentions Schema. Unfortunately, the provided tutorials do not cover this specific step.

    To address your questions:

    1. Setting the correct "sameAs" Wiki category for About and Mentions Schema: Currently, Rank Math does not have an automated feature like inlinks.net to add internal links as "sameAs" Wiki categories. You would need to manually specify these associations.

    2. Where and how to add the "sameAs" Wiki category: To add the "sameAs" Wiki category, you would typically include it in the Schema markup of your content. This involves specifying the external source that represents the same entity as the one mentioned on your page.

    3. Live examples on our website: While the tutorial page itself may not have the Schema for About and Mentions implemented, you can explore other pages on our website to see live examples of Schema implementation. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to specific URLs for such examples.

    4. Case studies of SEO rank improvements: At this time, we do not have specific case studies available showcasing SEO rank improvements related to the implementation of About and Mentions Schema.

    Regarding your proposed approach:

    1. Adding one external Wiki link with the About Schema (e.g., linking to an electric car Wikipedia page).
    2. Adding several external links to subjects, brands, entities on the page with the Mentions Schema (e.g., linking to different brands of electric cars).

If you require further assistance or clarification on implementing the "sameAs" Wiki category or any other aspect of the About and Mentions Schema, please feel free to provide more details or reply to this ticket.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through this together.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

The about and mentions feature of our plugin works for the links included in the content. So, the sameAs link will be the link that you have added to the content. We don’t have any case studies, but providing accurate information using structured data will always benefit your site’s performance in the SERPs.

If you don’t want to use the links you have added to the content as the sameAs link in the Schema, you can use the Advanced Schema Editor of the PRO plugin to add the about and mentions property manually. https://rankmath.com/kb/rich-snippets/#advanced-schema-editor

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Thank you, but there is no api connection to the wiki categories to add these links like in inlinks.net.

Also with the advanced editor we also have to do the normal build in schema by hand (and add the about, mention)?
Or is it possible with advanced schema editor to only add hand made schema’s?

    Hello,

At the moment, we don’t make any API connections with our schema module to construct the schema structure.

Yes, with the advanced editor, you are only allowed to manually create and import schema properties to your liking including implementing dynamic values in the schema fields with the help of variables.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
