Issues with H1 and SEO serp

Hi! I’m having issues with RANK MATH SEO.

It says that there’s no H1 on the main page when, in fact, there is. Not only that, The SEO serp created in RANK is not showing on Google Seach. Instead, DIVI H1s and H2s are.

(NOTE: I’m in the process of adding H1s to the rest of the pages through DIVI. Is there a better pipeline doing that via RANK?)

    Cheers!

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you are facing with Rank Math SEO. If Rank Math is not recognizing the H1 on your main page, it might be due to how it’s structured or labeled.

To address this, you can ensure that the H1 tag on your main page is correctly set up and labeled. You can refer to the Rank Math SEO Analysis Tool to understand how to optimize your H1 headings properly.

Regarding the SEO SERP not showing on Google Search and instead displaying DIVI H1s and H2s, this could be related to how the metadata is set up. You can check and adjust the meta title and description for your homepage using Rank Math’s SEO settings.

If you are in the process of adding H1s to other pages through DIVI, you can continue doing so. However, for better optimization and control over your SEO elements, it’s recommended to set up and manage these elements directly through Rank Math.

If you need further assistance or have more questions, feel free to ask. Thank you for reaching out!

    Cheers!

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

The error for the H1 on the homepage is not because it’s missing, it’s because you have multiple and the top-level heading should only be one:
    H1

Regarding the title on Google, it is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results and we even have a KB dedicated to this problem and a few solutions we recommend:

    https://rankmath.com/kb/different-meta-title-and-description/

Please check the KB and you will understand the reasons Google does this.

Google has made some changes to their algorithm which automatically changes the titles, discarding the one you have set in your SEO title meta tag. This happens regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. We have covered this Google update here:

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
