Canonical after removing product-category from base URL - Support

Hello. I removed “product-category” from all my base URLs. I also removed the parent category from all my base URLs. So instead of https://collectiblesandmoreinstore.com/product-category/kitchen-and-dining/cookie-jars/ the URL is now just https://collectiblesandmoreinstore.com/cookie-jars/ . In doing so, in the Rank Math Advanced Module, I also made the canonical https://collectiblesandmoreinstore.com/cookie-jars/

I was looking at a SEMrush error report that is saying https://collectiblesandmoreinstore.com/cookie-jars/ is NOT the canonical.

Why isn’t it the canonical?

We have checked and can confirm that the canonical URL is added on https://collectiblesandmoreinstore.com/cookie-jars/. For a page/post/CPT to be indexed its canonical URL must be self-referencing.
