Hello, we apologize for the issue you are facing with the meta information not displaying correctly on your client pages.
Based on the information provided, it seems like Google might be choosing to display different meta titles and descriptions for your pages. This can happen due to various reasons such as Google’s algorithms generating alternative titles based on search queries or other signals.
To address this issue, you can follow these steps:
- Ensure that the meta descriptions are relevant, useful, and of high quality.
- Avoid using the exact same meta description across a large number of pages.
- Make sure the meta description matches what users are searching for.
If you have already checked these points and the issue persists, you can try reaching out to Google through their Search Help Community to provide feedback on the displayed titles.

Google Shows A Different Meta Title/Description For My Site » Rank Math
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
We checked and can see that the title and description you have set is different from what is displayed on the Google Search result page.
Please note that it is common for Google to do this nowadays. Even when everything is fine, Google may choose to display a different meta title and description for a search result.
Google sometimes adjust the title and description according to the search intent. Google may choose to display a different meta title for search query results.
Google may sometimes ignore the custom metadata you have set and instead display something from the page’s content that better matches the search intent.

Hi Adetayo,
thank you for your feedback. We understand, that Google sometimes displays different content however we’ve suddenly have this issue with all pages using RankMath. None of the custom Meta info is displayed and the SERP-Preview contains info that’s not even on this page. That’s a huge issue as the rankings started to drop already. We checked everything according to the URL provided and everything is setup correctly.
We really need a solution here.
Thank you.
Hello,
Unfortunately, there’s no solution to this unless you have meta descriptions and titles that match the search intent, which in that case Google will use those.
The only reason that Google rewrites those is when the actual meta description and title don’t match the search intent and as such the algorithm tries to output one that matches the intent of the user reaching your website.
The only thing you can control is the actual data on the page being output by our plugin and that should match what you have on the settings, but the results on Google SERPs are always bound to be modified as you have already noted for your website.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
