  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the issue with the title and image on your directory listings page at https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35624?hl=en.

To address the incorrect title and image displayed on this specific page, it’s essential to ensure that the metadata for this page is correctly set up. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check Meta Title and Description: Verify that the meta title and description for the directory listings page are correctly set in your website’s backend. You can usually manage this information through your SEO plugin settings.

    2. Inspect Open Graph Tags: Ensure that the Open Graph tags for the specific page are correctly configured. Open Graph tags help control how your content appears when shared on social media platforms like Facebook.

    3. Clear Cache: If you have caching plugins or server-side caching enabled, clear the cache to ensure that the latest metadata is being displayed.

If after checking these steps, the issue persists, please feel free to open a support ticket on our support forum at https://rankmath.com/support/. Our dedicated support team will assist you further in resolving this matter effectively.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation in resolving this issue. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

However, after checking the page, we can see the title set in there is also showing on Google’s SERP. Here’s a screenshot for reference:

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Just to be sure. Can you confirm which title is the correct one? Your Rank Math Title is set to “Single Listing”, which is what is showing on Facebook – But Google’s SERP is showing ‘Deep Electronics’, which could be a result of previous crawls.

If ‘Single Listing’ is the correct title, then all you have to do is recrawl the affected page using the Google URL Inspection Tool. But if ‘Deep Electronics’ is the correct title, then you’d need to change the title you specified in the Rank Math snippet editor.

We hope this helps you resolve the issue. Don’t hesitate to contact us again with any other questions or concerns regarding Rank Math. We are always happy to help.

Thank you for choosing Rank Math!

    Hi,

Thank you for looking into the issue.
‘Deep Electronics’ is the correct title for this instance.

The page ‘single lisitings’ dynamically pulls data from for the business directory. So cannot change snippets here.
    eg-
    https://www.yehlopages.com/listings/agrico-farm-international/
    https://www.yehlopages.com/listings/24×7-central-services/
    https://www.yehlopages.com/listings/snap-tap-cards/
    etc.

The blog section is working fine, its only the business directory listings, where the title is coming up incorrect – on social media platform (:og part in the source)

Note: This works perfectly fine when rankmath is disabled.

    Thanks Rakibuzzaman Siam,

The issue seems to be for social media posts like – facebook, whatsapp etc. I double checked via the facebook debugger tool too.
Using the same example above – https://www.yehlopages.com/listings/deep-electronics/
The output is via a page – ‘single listings’, that has a shortcode to display relevant data.

Attached are the screenshots – https://imgur.com/a/vkbbLKL

I have also tried playing around with different Schema configurations, but without success.
Everything works fine for the Blogs, its only the directory output, the TITLE has the issue – on social platforms.

Please guide if it am looking at this correctly.
    Regards,

    Shyam.

    Hello,

It seems that there is an issue with the DirectoryPress plugin and the way it generates listing pages.

We have escalated this issue to our developers for further investigation. We will update you as soon as we have more information.

Thank you for choosing Rank Math.

    Noted.

Should I expect a reply soon, or is this still in the experimental stage? In either case, please let me know if the credentials shared for the admin login need to be retained.

    Hello,

Yes, we’ll get back to you here if there’s an update on this issue.

Also, please retain the credentials so our developers can investigate the issue.

Alternatively, you can create a staging site with the same issue and update the sensitive data with its credentials.

Here is a guide that could be really useful for you on how to create a staging site: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-create-staging-environment-for-a-wordpress-site/

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi Reinelle,

Thanks to all the members of the team for their time.
We would have loved to have the issue resolved and continue with rank math, however the management decided otherwise, due to upcoming campaigns.
We are temporarily discontinuing rank math on the website. You may now close the ticket.

    Warm Regards,

    Shyam.

    Hello,

    That is fine

If you need any further assistance in the future or decide to re-enable Rank Math on your website, feel free to reach out by opening a new ticket.
