Hi, I own a website (https://cybix.in/); the issue I am facing is indexing a few pages. I checked all the methods, and it is showing an index, but when I am checking on Google search console, it is showing (Page is not indexed: Excluded by ‘noindex’ tag) when I checked the source code (href=’#noindex’>As NoIndex<li id=’wp-admin-bar-rank-math-no-follow’).

Please help me to fix this issue.

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with indexing some pages on your website. The "Excluded by ‘noindex’ tag" status in Google Search Console indicates that Google has found a noindex tag on those specific pages, preventing them from being indexed.

To resolve this issue, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Rank Math Metabox:
      • Open the post/page in the WordPress Editor.
      • Look for the Rank Math SEO icon in the top-right corner to access the Rank Math Metabox.
      • Ensure that the Robots Meta is not set to "No Index." If it is, select the "Index" checkbox and update the page/post.

    Rank Math Settings

    1. Check Rank Math’s Titles & Meta Settings:
      • Go to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta tab.
      • Review each section to ensure that the settings are as per your preference.
      • If needed, change the Robots Meta tag to "Index" for the pages you want to be indexed.

Set Noindex in Titles and Meta Settings

If after following these steps, the issue persists, please let us know, and we will assist you further.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We are here to help you resolve this indexing issue on your website.

I did everything mentioned above, but the issue still persists.

    Hello,

It is a pretty common mistake to open the page source and search for a noindex tag to see if the page is marked as noindex or not.

However, Rank Math offers a No Index option in the admin menu bar, which could show up in the page’s source code when logged in like the codes you have shared.

    Mark this page

Please note that the actual noindex tag is added like this:

    <meta robots="noindex">

To ensure that your post/page is set to index, you should refer to this section in your page’s source code or visit the page using incognito mode (logged out from your WP dashboard):

    index

You can notice in the screenshot that your site is already set to index (line 15).

    Hope that helps.

It is true that my site is indexed, but only some of the pages are being indexed. When I am searching for the url it is showing not indexed

    Hello,

Please share a couple of pages that are not indexed so we can check if they have the noindex tag of if they are not indexed because Google has decided to not do so.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
