    Hello,

It’s been a long while since I did upload a favicon image in my WordPress website dubai-cosmetix.com via my admin dashboard, as follows: WordPress Dashboard โ†’ Appearance โ†’ Customize โ†’ Site Identity.

However, my favicon still doesn’t display on the search results pages. Instead, there is a default image.

Could you please have a look and help me fix this issue?

    Best regards

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing with your favicon not displaying correctly on the search results pages of your website dubai-cosmetix.com.

To ensure that your favicon appears correctly in the search results, please follow these steps:

    1. Make sure that you have uploaded the favicon correctly via your WordPress Dashboard โ†’ Appearance โ†’ Customize โ†’ Site Identity.
    2. Clear any cache on your site, plugins, or server-level cache. You can refer to this guide on how to clear cache in WordPress: Clear Cache in WordPress.
    3. Verify that the favicon has been set up correctly by checking your website’s source code to see if the favicon link is present.

If after following these steps the issue persists, please reach out to your theme provider as this might be related to your theme settings.

If you need further assistance or have any other questions, feel free to contact our dedicated support team.

How to Change Your Website’s Favicon in WordPress ยป Rank Math

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that this issue might have caused.

You can share your site’s URL so we will be able to check.

Google uses the Google Favicon user agent to fetch the favicon from your website and caches it on its servers. Since this user agent is a low-volume crawler, sometimes it may take a while for Google to update the favicon if you have changed it recently.

However, to speed up the process you can use the Google URL Inspection Tool to request a recrawl of your website. This will tell Google to re-fetch your website data and update the favicon accordingly. You can find the tool here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9012289#request_indexing

Please note that it is not guaranteed that Google will change it immediately.

You can learn more about how Google shows the favicon in search results from this article: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/favicon-in-search

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

    My website’s URL is https://dubai-cosmetix.com.

Please have a look at it.

I have WordPress website. So, the link you gave to me is not really relevant since it shows how to set up a favicon in the code.

    Hello,

We can see from your site’s source code that the correct icon is already set properly, but Google is not showing it yet.

After requesting a reindex of your site, it might take some time for Google to update the favicon in the search results. Be patient, as this process is not instantaneous.

Don’t hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,
