  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re facing with the URLs on your website. If you are experiencing 404 errors on specific URLs and suspect they might be 410 errors, you can follow these steps to handle them:

    1. Identify the Issue: Check if the URLs are returning a 404 or 410 status. You can use tools like Google Search Console or Rank Math’s Analytics to identify soft 404 errors.

    2. Serve a 410 HTTP Status: If you want to inform search engines that the content has been permanently deleted, you can serve a 410 HTTP status on the page. This helps search engines understand that the content used to exist but has been removed intentionally.

    3. Check Redirections: Ensure that there are no unwanted redirects happening on your website. If you notice any redirects that you haven’t configured, you can refer to this guide to identify and fix them: Unwanted URLs Redirecting.

If you need further assistance or if the issue persists, please reply here, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you further.

Thank you for reaching out with your concern.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We checked the pages and we can see 410 redirection there but not by the Rank Math plugin:

Could you please confirm if deactivating the Rank Math plugin removes the 410 redirections? If so, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We have found the specific redirection rule and you can access it here: https://adamdroper.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=rank-math-redirections&redirection=23&security=ed65d075a6&action=edit

    Rank Math support

To remove the 410 code, you’ll have to delete the Source URL from that redirection rule.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any other questions.
