Hi! I’m trying to implement SEO on the website “thewholezombie.com,” but I’m having a few issues.
First, I can’t connect to Google Services (it says, “some error occurred. Please try again after some time or use manual connect method”). I tried Incognito Mode, but that didn’t help.
Secondly, Each time I try to make a change to the homepage (Titles & Meta), the text doesn’t save. For Homepage Title tag, I want “Hand-Crafted goods made from butchered Zombies!” & for Homepage Meta Description, I want “A New Way To Manage The Undead %sep% The first ever range of products from ALL parts of the Living Dead to make bespoke Fashion, Accessories and Homewares.”
Can you help me? Cheers!

Hello,
I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re facing with setting up SEO on your website. Let’s address them step by step:
-
Google Services Connection Issue:
- If you are encountering an error while trying to connect to Google Services, such as "some error occurred," it might be due to various reasons like temporary server issues or conflicts.
- To troubleshoot this, you can try again after some time as suggested in the error message. If the issue persists, you can use the manual connect method provided by Rank Math.
- If you need assistance with the manual connection method, please let us know, and we can guide you through the process.
-
Homepage Title & Meta Description Not Saving:
- If you are experiencing difficulties saving changes to the Homepage Title and Meta Description, it could be due to plugin conflicts or JavaScript-related errors.
- To resolve plugin conflicts, you can follow our knowledgebase article on checking for plugin conflicts.
- Additionally, JavaScript-related errors might be causing the saving issue. You can diagnose these errors using the browser’s console.

Hello,
In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
We have updated your homepage’s meta title & description without any issues. Your Google account is currently not connected. Please connect it, and if you see an error, share a screenshot using a tool like https://imgur.com/
Looking forward to helping you.
Hello,
Could you please also confirm if you have already created a GA4 property for your website?
https://rankmath.com/kb/using-ga4/#create-ga4-propertyAlso, if the settings are not getting saved in the Analytics, please try using Google Chrome (Incognito mode) or another Chromium-based browser upon reconnecting to save those settings.
We have seen this in the past when people were using Safari on macOS or the Firefox browser, so if you are using any of these combinations, the data might not get saved.
Let us know how this goes.
Thank you.
Hi!
For some reason, I can’t do anything but press “Connect Google Service,” which still doesn’t do anything when I press it. I tried changing from Firefox to Chrome but still had the same issues.
Can you help me with this?
Cheers!Hello,
The error is being triggered by the following plugin:
WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration By Advanced WC AnalyticsThat plugin conflicts with our Analytics module and we recommend that you keep only one Analytics method on your website, either our Analytics module or this plugin mentioned above.
We understand that the plugin allows for event tracking and we don’t but you need to decide on which solution better suits your workflow since it’s not possible to use both.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
Hello,
Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.
If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.
Thank you.
