  • Hello,

To delete the "Permalink" for a specific type of post or page in WordPress, you cannot completely delete the permalink itself as it is a fundamental part of how URLs work on the web. However, you can customize or change the permalink structure for individual posts or pages.

If you want to change the URL slug for an individual post or page, you can follow these steps:

    1. Edit the post or page you want to change the slug for.
    2. In the Classic Editor, find the permalink just below your post and click on Edit to change the end of the URL.
      • Here is an example from the Classic Editor:
        Classic Editor - Slug
    3. In Gutenberg, you will find the URL slug in the Article → Permalink section.
      • Here is an example from Gutenberg:
        Gutenberg - Slug
    4. Type your desired slug in the URL Slug field to make it shorter or more focused.
    5. Once done, click the Publish or Update button to save your changes.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with this process, feel free to ask. Thank you for reaching out!

    Closing spiel.

    Hi,

Then how can I remove them from search console using rank math. Is disabling “Include in Sitemap
” option for this post, will stop indexing them?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math.

You can follow this guide to set your page/post to noindex so they will not be crawled by search engines: https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-noindex-urls/

Once done, please allow Google some time to recrawl your pages and they will be automatically removed from SERPs.

Please note that it may take some time for Google and search engines to deindex the URLs if they are already showing on the search results pages.

In this case, you can utilize the page removal tool in your Google Search Console account to remove them
