    Hello RankMath support,

I am experiencing a problem using a GA4 account. There is a bad notification that keeps on popping up on my computer Chrome and Bing web browsers but not on my phone. I am wondering if you guys can help me out?

I have been referred here by Bhanu, the co-founder of RankMath for this specific question. I have placed the code on Pastebin as you have requested. Here is the link to the GA4 HTTP Failure response code: https://pastebin.com/wxzrk25q

    Thank you for your time.

  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with your GA4 account and the HTTP Failure response code you provided. To better assist you, I recommend checking the following steps:

    1. Check Website Status: Ensure your website is returning a 200 status code. You can use a tool like httpstatus.io to check your website’s status.

    2. API Timeout: If your website takes more than 30 seconds to load, it can result in an API error.

    3. API Requests Blocked by Firewall: Your server security or firewall might be blocking Rank Math’s API requests. Whitelisting the IP 193.138.6.5 and the user-agent RankMathApi/2.0.2; https://rankmath.com can resolve this.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please feel free to reach out to our support team directly here. They are available 24×7 and will assist you further.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The response is really good and I am 100% grateful. However, I would like you to provide me with additional context on how exactly I can solve an API error and whitelist the IP and user-agent. Also, the website is returning 2 status codes: 301 as HTTP and 200 as HTTPS. I hope that is normal.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Rank Math support, and we’re sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with your GA4 account.

It’s common for websites to return a 301 (Moved Permanently) status code when redirecting from HTTP to HTTPS.

Use online tools like Why No Padlock? to verify your HTTPS configuration and ensure there are no issues.

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello Ike,

I have used the online tool “Why no Padlock” and the website has passed all tests. Still, the notification pops up. I think the issue has to do with my computer because the notification is not present when using my phone’s browser.

    Hello,

You may clear your website and browser’s cache for troubleshooting since it’s only appearing on your computer only.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you, RankMath

Actually, the problem was with my anti-virus software. I have reached out to them after disabling the software and enabling my default windows anti-virus. I hope they are able to solve compatibility issues between them and GA4. Once again, thank you for your time.

    Hello,

We’re glad that you have already managed to find the root cause of this issue.

If you have any other concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime to assist you further.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
