Strip Category Base also removes /blog from URL

    We have a blog structure like the following:

    website.com/blog/category/latest-updates

    We want to remove “category” from there, so we tried the Strip Category Base option in Settings. This sort of works, but the resulting URL for category archives is now:

    website.com/latest-updates

    We’ve lost both “category” AND “blog” from the URL structure, which isn’t what we want (nor does it seem to be what the Strip Category Base option is supposed to do, unless I’m misunderstanding).

    We’d like the url to be website.com/blog/latest-updates

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Rank Math will remove all the strings from the category URL once the ā€œStrip Category Baseā€ option is enabled.

    You can instead disable the option and in the WordPress permalink settings, you can add blog as your Category base:
