After making some changes to the Rank Math settings

I previously had a WordPress blog with 100 posts, but I messed up the Rank Math settings and could not recover it, so I gave up operating it. So, I set up a new WordPress blog, but even this one no longer appears in search engines after setting it up. I am really frustrated and don’t know how to solve this. When I view the page source, there are no parts that are set to ‘noindex’ or ‘nofollow’. Google Search Console shows that the URL is registered, but it hasn’t appeared since yesterday. Please help me.

  • Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

Please check for URLs in your Google Search Console and look for any coverage issues that may tell us why your website is not being indexed on the SERP. You may refer to this guide: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7440203?hl=en

You may also share the URLs here that are not currently indexed on the SERP so we can check them closely.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    hi master

Let me ask you one more question. Should I enable the remove snippet data option for my site category items? Should I not? I’m so curious about that.

    Hello,

For ease of use, we provide that option so that you don’t have to control the Schema from those pages manually and possibly even make modifications via code snippets if it shows incorrectly on Google Search Console.

For beginners, we recommend keeping it on but advanced users who know what they are doing in terms of Schema and are comfortable creating custom code snippets can leave that off and have full control over the markup.

As for the website, it’s already showing some pages indexed:

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Thank you, but there’s another problem. There’s an issue with the Image alt tag auto generator not working. I’ve enabled this feature but it’s not working. Why is this?

    Hello,

Could you please share the affected URL where the ALT tag is not applying so we can check further?

Meanwhile, please note that the Add missing ALT attributes and Add missing TITLE attributes options in Rank Math are not added to your images in the media gallery as the feature works only on the fly (applied on the front end when your page loads on the browser).

Also, images added by your WordPress theme or page builder to various sections like your sliders, thumbnails, icons, etc. will not be affected as they only apply to images added directly to your content.

    Looking forward to helping you.

I have solved the problem. Thank you. There’s another problem. I hope the site name doesn’t show up after the post and I set it up. However, the site name still appears after the title of the article. Why is this?

    Hello,

Please ensure you are using the latest versions of the Rank Math plugins: https://rankmath.com/changelog

If the issue persists kindly share the URL of the page where the site name appears without being included in the meta box within the edit area.

You can check the content of the meta title and description of a page using https://rankmath.com/tools/meta-tag-analyzer/ or https://www.heymeta.com/

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
