  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you please share the affected post URL in the sensitive data section so that we can check the issue further for you?

However, please note that nowadays, Google does that very commonly. Even when everything is fine, Google may choose to display a different meta title for your search query result. Google may skip the custom metadata you have set and instead display something from the page’s content that better matches the search intent.

You can follow this URL for details on this issue:

Here are some articles you can also check for reference:

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

As we mentioned above, this is pretty normal and the name of the website/brand usually appears after the meta title to provide further context to the users.

Here’s an article from Google that explains how you could try to influence the titles: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/title-link

However, please note that ultimately it’s still up to the algorithm to decide whether or not to display it exactly as you want.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

We can check that only the post title is used by Google in the SERPs, not the site title:

However, if Google has decided to show the site title for a specific keyword, then you can’t do anything about it, as they can rewrite the title as mentioned in the guide shared by my colleague.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

I face one more issue you see that instead of site name, my site link was shown on search please tell me what I do for fix this issue

    Hello,

Google uses different sources to figure out and show your Site Name on SERPs

    • og:site_name
    • Website structured data (Schema)
    • Content in title elements
    • Heading elements, like <span>H1</span>

Among them, Rank Math automatically includes og:site_name, meta tag and the Website Schema on your page. You can also check the Google documentation on site-name: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/site-names

However, as mentioned in the documentation, this process is automated by the algorithm, and even though it takes into account the information on the website, it is still not guaranteed that your site name will come up correctly in Google SERPs since it’s solely decided by Google what they found relevant and user-friendly and which one they want to show.

Please make sure that you have added the correct site name in WP Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Local SEO > WebSite Name and our plugin will add it to the meta tags and Schema. Also, make sure that the Site Title is set correctly in the WordPress settings.

Once done, wait for Google to decide to show it in the SERPs.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
