WPML: don’t see the SEO score and Schema Type in the translations

    Hello Team RankMath,

I am digging into your plugin and noticed that :
    1. when translating the page and SEO title and meta via the WPLM translation editor, I don’t see the SEO score being updated in the overview of the page for the translated languages. However, if I directly update the translated page, then I can see the SEO data but then it disconnects the translated page from the original language page and it requires an extra step which is not practical. Is there another way to make sure the data is being updated when we use the WPML editor to translate the content?
Please review the first video attached in sensitive data for a better understanding.

    2. I also don’t see the schema theme type added to the default language on the translations, nor can translate the content in the schema type via WPML translation editor. What is the process to make sure translation has same schema type and translate the content of schema type?
Please review the second video attached in sensitive data for a better understanding,

Thanks a lot for your help,
    Kind regards,
    Sophie

  • 3. For some pages, if I check the page in WordPress > Pages > overview, I don’t see the page index, but if I go on the page to set the No Index via the RankMath Menu, it seems to be already set to no index, so which source return the right data? Please review the third video for visual explanations.

    Thanks for your help

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

    1. Please navigate to WP Dashboard > Rank Math SEO > Status & Tools > Database Tools and use the Recalculate SEO Score tool to update the SEO score of the translated pages.

    2. The Schema will not be copied from the original page to the translated page. Since it is a new page, it will use the default settings for the Schema that you have set in the Titles & Meta settings. It seems like you have set it to None, and that’s why the page doesn’t have any Schema type by default. You will have to add the Schema manually to the translated pages.

    3. The Forgot Password page is a child page of the My Account page. Our plugin sets the My Account and its child pages to Noindex by default, so you see the Index in the backend but it is set to Noindex in the front end. You can use the Quick Edit menu to set it to Noindex in the backend.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello Jaideep,

Thank you very much for your amazing support! Issues 1 and 2 are solved now by using your guidelines 👌

However for the 3rd point, it was just an example, but I also have the issue with pages that are not under my-account and that also seem to no indexed in the default language admin, but that are when I check the page. If I check the page in WordPress > Pages > overview, I don’t see the page index, but if I go on the page to set the No Index via the RankMath Menu, it seems to be already set to no index, so which source return the right data? And what is the process to index a page in all the languages? Please review the fourth video for visual explanations.

Thanks a lot for your help
    Best regards,
    Sophie

    Hello,

Rank Math only automatically adds the noindex to the robots meta of myaccount, checkout, cart pages, and empty category pages as they are unique for each user.

Every other page/post/CPT is set to index by default. You can see this guide on the various ways a page/post/CPT/taxonomy can be set to noindex:https://rankmath.com/kb/how-to-noindex-urls/ Maybe it was done erroneously.

It is also possible another plugin or your theme is setting the concerned page to noindex. To determine that you will have to follow this guide: https://rankmath.com/kb/check-plugin-conflicts/

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello,

But I do see all the my translated account page in the sitemap and as explained even if in the english default dashboard, they are indeed no index because I set it up in the settings, the translated versions are not. Seems the no-index settings is not being synchronise.

So what is the process to index or no index a page in all the languages? Because I did set up the default languages settings to no index and then trasnlated the page with wpml editor translation but the translated page still set up to index.

for now by manually editing each translation page I could set them up to no-index but this is not practical as it overwrite the translation and on top of it I cannot access the checkout page (cart/checkout) so even though it is indeed no index in english, I can see the dutch and french page in the sitemap /nl/winkelwagen/afrekenen/ + /fr/panier/paiement/. So how can I do no-index these pages then?

    Waiting for your news,
    Thanks for your help,
    Kind regards,
    Sophie

Update: Actually I could find these pages, but basically I had to go in each translated page and edit the page SEO data. So is there a way to copy the no index/index data to the translated pages settings?

    Thanks for your help,
    Kind regards,
    Sophie

    Hello,

The translated pages will use the default robots meta option you have set in the Titles & Meta settings for the post type. If you have set the default robots meta option to Index, then all newly created posts, including the translations, will be set to Index by default, even if their primary version is set to Noindex.

You will have to change the robots meta manually or set the default robots meta option to Noindex/Index in the Titles & Meta settings.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
