How to use Rank Math SEO plugin in sub-directory?

    I installed a subdirectory site. I have the Rankmath plugin installed on my root domain. Here are some questions I would like to answer:

    1. Can subdirectories be controlled by SEO plugins from the root domain?

    2. Is it necessary to install seo plugin separately in sub directory?

    3. Should subdirectories be manually added to Google Search Console?

    I installed the Rank Math plugin in the subdirectory. But I noticed that (Setup Wizard » Search Console » Site) automatic subdirectory (https://example.com/reel) was added. But I have not added any subdirectory of google search console.

    Now, which link (1. example.com, 2. example.com/plan) should be added to the subdirectory for SEO?

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

    1. No, Rank Math can only be controlled on a site on which it is installed.

    2. Yes, the sub-directory is a different installation of WordPress, so it needs to be installed there separately.

    3. Yes, you may need to verify your subdirectory site on your Google Search Console as well since it is not part of your root domain.
