Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Not having their sitemap generated doesn’t mean they won’t be set as index. To set them as no-index, you will need to enter in those categories and in the Advanced tab, set them as no-index. Or you can also go to Rank Math settings > Titles & Meta > Categories and set their meta robots as no-index (if you don’t want to index any of them).
