When you see a URL or path in the 404 Monitor, it means that a person or bot tried to visit that URL, and since it doesn’t exist, it returns a 404 error and is logged by our plugin.
Please note that we only report 404 errors. We do not have information on how or why they are generated.

Luckily I am able to block the url and it doesn’t seem to throw any errors. Having many hits, I think I was right to put the code 410.

If those URLs are already deleted or not needed, then you can safely set them as 410 in the 404 Monitor.
Alternatively, you can add them to the exclusion list at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > 404 Monitor > Exclude Paths.
