Hi there,
I recently moved a site from Divi to Oxygen (same sitemap) with exactly the same settings in rank math.
The site shows up as before in google, but it shows text from the page and not the rich snippet….any clue?
Thank you
Angelo

Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
Your home pages schema is set to article. I checked your site on Google and your page source and the settings appear fine from my end. Please check the screenshots I have added in the sensitive section.
If you are still facing the issue, please share some screenshots with us, you can use https://imgur.com
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
In the past when looking for
web agency Savigliano
or
web design Savigliano
rich snippet was showing, now pls. see picture attached
P.S.
In the past I was using DIVI, now OxygenHi,
Thanks for the follow up.
It seems Google is choosing not to show your custom description. In this case there is nothing you can do as Google sometimes ignores the custom meta info altogether and show something from the page’s content that matches the search intent better. Here are some of the common reasons Google might not use the meta description you provided:
– The meta description is not relevant or useful (ie, just a collection of keywords).
– The exact same meta description is provided across a large number of pages.
– The meta description doesn’t match what the user is searching for, but other content on the page does. There is a whole article dedicated to this on SearchEngineJournal:
https://www.searchenginejournal.com/google-offers-suggestions-for-avoiding-meta-description-rewrites/359884/Here is an example showing Google changes title depending on keyword used:
https://i.rankmath.com/oT6VQe
&
https://i.rankmath.com/Mrhb0xThe best you can do is optimize your meta tags to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.
Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
Well it is bizarre,
none of the 3 cases mentioned in SearchEngineJournal seems to apply to my case, in fact with the previos version of the site I did not have any problem ( and it was the same content and same rich snippets)….
It worries me because I’ve benn asked to move some site from Divi to Oxygen but if this is the case I’ll have to use an alternate seo tool, because it seems to me that the issue is caused by the Oxygen/Rank Math integration….Pity, because I really liked it
Thanks Anyway

Just to complete the information, there are no images in the sitemap, even though it is set to include them
Hello,
Not sure if you have already tried, but as every other SEO plugin, Rank Math needs access to the builder content to work fine, so they need to integrate Rank Math API on their plugin.
If you haven’t tried it, I would recommend you to try the integration someone coded and let us know if that helps you with your issue: https://wpdevdesign.com/oxygen-rank-math-plugin/
Looking forward to help you.
Hi Alberto…( Italian name?)….yes I have the integration plugin installed…..it helps but also has some flaws….kudos to the developer but it seems not actively updated…..
I definitely think that the problems lies with the integration…..
For the time being I do not think that pairing RankMath and Oxygen is a solid solution….we’ll wait and seeHello,
This is your current page description:
Artiweb Web Agency | Appassionati per il web design e identità visiva | Rivolgiti a noi per migliorare la tua presenza online.
None of the search keywords terms, web agency Savigliano or web design Savigliano seems to appear in the description
If you take a part of the description as the Search term, you will note the correct description is shown:
As I had explained in my previous reply, you need to optimize your description to try and match the search keyword intent. If you check the description shown when you search those keywords, you will note the keyword is a part of the description:
Please note that Google will easily ignore the custom description if it doesn’t seem to fit the search keyword.
Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
My problem is that , with exactly the same settings, with divi it was pulling the snippet and with oxygen is pulling the content.
Can there ba an issue with the integration?
on a side note, the snippet you posted is not the one that I have set for the homepage.
The description is the same but the title is different…Web agency e identità visiva | Artiweb
Any clue?
Hello,
If you want, we can try taking a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

We really look forward to helping you.
Hi Alberto,
see the new results in google for the keywords….very bizarre
created temp credential if you want….
Hello,
The only issue from my end seems to be the Title. I checked your URL and it seems to have been updated with the new meta description and an partial excerpt being added by Google to try and match the Search Keyword:
If you test your site in heymeta.com, you will see the meta is correctly added:
Even on this third part tool:
And even SEO Quake:
As you can see, Rank Math is outputting the data correctly. It is just that Google is choosing not to use that for certain terms because they determine the data you are providing is not relevant for the search term. You are likely to get the same results even if you were using any other SEO plugin.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hi there, thanks for the answer,
want I want to try now is to eliminate the word “Savigliano” from my content, because it seems that Google pulls it because it is exactly the search keyword and strip my last part of the snippet…..
Can this be the issue?
