    Hi
Redirections in .htacess fil managed (in my case) by Apache are more efficient than PHP redirections, so I wonder why redirections rules are not written directly in our .htaccess file? Like the plugin Redirections does.
    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

They are not because it is easier to manage them this way. Also, this allow users more control over them since just by disabling the plugin, the redirections are gone.

Finally, there are some hostings/sites without .htaccess or even their server doesn’t use .htaccess so as a way to work for everyone, we do it this way.

Anyway, Rank Math offers an option to export all the redirections to a .htaccess file.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
